Pressure Reducing Valve Operating Principle
Piston-type pressure reducing valves require a pressure reduction ratio at their inlet and outlet that is at least slightly higher than the system value; they should also be able to respond to both direct and reverse-acting control signals, even at maximum or minimum flow rates. These valves should be selected for the useful control range, typically 20% to 80% of the maximum flow rate.
Diaphragm-type pressure reducing valves regulate the flow rate of the medium by controlling the opening of the valve body's opening and closing mechanism, thus reducing the medium's pressure. Simultaneously, the downstream pressure is used to adjust the opening of the opening and closing mechanism, maintaining the downstream pressure within a certain range.

1) Threaded pressure reducing valve: Primarily used in various building water supply systems, fire protection systems, central air conditioning systems, and heating systems. It reduces pressure in branch pipes, ensuring a more even distribution of water supply pressure, preventing overpressure in certain areas, and optimizing water supply zoning in high-rise buildings. It can replace zoned frequency-controlled variable speed pumps in fire protection systems and protect all faucets and other water appliances in domestic water supply systems.
2) Threaded branch pressure reducing valve: Relatively inexpensive. Diaphragm-type pressure reducing valves are mostly used in machinery and equipment, offering higher precision and more stable outlet pressure, but are relatively more expensive.
3) Threaded branch pressure reducing valve: Employs a direct-acting piston structure with a very simple internal structure, eliminating jamming, ensuring reliable performance, and durability.
4) Resistant to dirt and scale, requiring no filter or bypass pipe, simplifying piping and saving significant space and piping costs.
5) Precisely adjustable outlet pressure from 1 to 5.5 bar; in general, the outlet pressure can be considered independent of the inlet pressure.
6) Excellent hydraulic characteristics, low pressure loss, and a pressure reduction ratio of over 10:1.

Usage Precautions
1) For ease of operation and maintenance, this valve is generally installed vertically on a horizontal pipeline.
2) During installation, ensure that the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline is consistent with the direction of the arrow shown on the valve body.
3) To prevent overpressure after the valve, a water pressure reducing valve should be installed at least 4 meters away from the valve outlet.
4) When determining the air source pressure for the valve, it should be greater than the maximum output pressure by 0.1 MPa. The pressure reducing valve is generally installed after the water separator and before the lubricator or setpoint valve. Ensure that the inlet and outlet are not reversed; otherwise, the pressure reducing valve will lose its function or even be damaged.
5) Do not use with fluids other than those suitable for operation.
6) Do not exceed the maximum operating pressure limit.
7) Do not use outside the operating temperature range to prevent wear or leakage of the sealing material.
8) Do not subject to impact, bending, or stretching to prevent damage.
9) Do not use in environments containing metal powder or sand to prevent malfunction or leakage. 10) When installing threaded parts, do not exceed the maximum tightening torque to prevent damage.
