GL11-16T Brass Filter

The Y-type filter is an indispensable device in pipeline systems for conveying various media.  It is typically installed at the inlet of pressure reducing valves, relief valves, constant level valves, or other equipment to remove impurities from the medium and protect the normal operation of valves and equipment. This flanged filter features an advanced structure, low resistance, and convenient cleaning. It is suitable for water, oil, and gas. The filter screen can be manufactured according to user requirements, and its external appearance is basically the same (Y-shaped). All internal components are made of stainless steel, ensuring durability. When cleaning is required, simply remove the detachable filter cartridge, remove the filtered impurities, and reinstall it. Maintenance is extremely convenient. This filter is compact, has fine mesh, low resistance, high efficiency, is easy to install and maintain, and has a low cost and short cleaning time (only 5-10 minutes for smaller models). Typical mesh sizes are 18-30 mesh/cm² for water, 40-100 mesh/cm² for gas, and 100-300 mesh/cm² for oil. This flanged filter consists of a housing, drain cover, filter element, and filter screen. The total mesh area is 3-4 times the cross-sectional area of the inlet pipe. It is used in pipelines to remove various mechanical impurities from conveyed media such as hot water, cold water, steam, and compressed air.  It is particularly necessary to install this product before the circulating water pump in boiler rooms to remove mechanical impurities from the system, preventing blockage and wear of equipment and pipelines. At the rated flow rate, the pressure loss is 0.05-0.1 meters of water column. It is also used in various steam-using equipment, such as steam instruments and steam traps.

Installation & maintenance

(1) Install the filter at the front end of various matching valves on the inlet pipe.

(2) Clean the filter periodically according to the amount of trapped material. Before cleaning, close the valve before the filter.

(3) Remove the valve cover and clean off any debris adhering to it.

(4) Remove the filter cartridge, remove any debris, and clean the filter screen.

(5) Clean the valve body.

(6) Reassemble the filter and continue using it.
