Brass Horizontal Check Valve

Brass check valves, also known as one-way valves or non-return valves, prevent backflow of media in pipelines. The foot valve at the suction stop of a water pump also belongs to the check valve category. A brass check valve is a valve whose opening and closing mechanism relies on the flow and force of the medium to automatically open or close, preventing backflow. Check valves are automatic valves, primarily used in pipelines where the medium flows in only one direction to prevent accidents.

A horizontal check valve is a valve component that opens or closes automatically based on the flow and force of the medium to prevent backflow. Its design mainly consists of three parts: the valve body, the valve cover, and the rubber flap. It is primarily suitable for horizontally installed water supply and drainage systems and can be installed at the outlet of a water pump to prevent backflow and water hammer damage to the pump. It can also be installed on the bypass pipes of the inlet and outlet pipes of a water storage tank to prevent tank water from flowing back into the water supply system. Check valves are generally suitable for clean media and are not suitable for media containing solid particles or with high viscosity.

Application

The horizontal check valve mainly consists of three parts: the valve body, the valve cover, and the rubber flap. The rubber flap is made with a steel plate, steel rod, and reinforced nylon cloth as a backing, covered with an outer layer of rubber. The valve flap has a service life of up to 1 million cycles. This valve adopts a full-flow area design, featuring low head loss, resistance to debris accumulation, and easy maintenance. This valve is mainly suitable for water supply and drainage systems and can be installed at the outlet of a water pump to prevent backflow and water hammer damage to the pump. It can also be installed on the bypass pipe of the inlet and outlet water pipes of a water storage tank to prevent backflow of tank water into the water supply system.
